Richmond Night Market | The Best Eats of 2019

Content Editor: Alice On

Energy rises as the sun sets at the Richmond Night Market. Drawing crowds of almost 11,000 people on summer weekends its a bit reminiscent of the all-night shopping extravaganzas that happen across Asia, with the addition of a distinctively Canadian flavour - mingling the aroma of authentic fare from around the world.

For a foodie like me, the Richmond Night Market offers an experience unmatched anywhere else in Canada. With vendors vigorously vying for the coveted top spot as the Night Market Darling, cuisines become more creative and elaborate each year! Past Richmond Night Market champions that have taken Vancouver by storm, like the Rotatoes, give way to a new generation of Instagram fodder, like the rainbow grilled cheese sandwich or milk teas served in baby bottles.

Of course with Richmond’s widely available access to world-class seafood and 74 percent of the population identifying as Asian, it’s no surprise that the Richmond Night Market offers novel fusions with the best of Asian cuisine and a sea food lover’s paradise with over 100 food stalls!
